Old Colony carpentry students are working at the Buzzard's Bay Habitat for Humanity house build project in Mattapoisett.

This year Old Colony carpentry students have teamed up with Buzzard's Bay Area Habitat for Humanity to help build a 3 bedroom cape style home in Mattapoisett. On their first  day on the job, senior class students learned how to install plywood sheathing and had a very productive day. On a later date, students finished framing the front wall and lifted it into place and installed the double top plate.

What a great way for the students to help out the local community and also get work experience at the same time!
