ATTORNEY-BROKER REFERRAL PROGRAM 

Stop Leaving Money on the Table.

In Massachusetts, licensed real estate brokers can only pay commissions and referral fees to other licensed real estate brokers.  What most attorneys do not realize is that they already qualify as a real estate broker.  They just need to pay the fee and submit the paperwork.  It is super easy.  I should know.  I did it!  

After being burnt out in the legal world, and after witnessing so many clients being disserviced by their real estate agents, I decided to start a real estate brokerage that provided true advocacy for its clients, that included advocacy for their clients' interests and not their own.  Running a brokerage is certainly a challenge, but it is a challenge that I love, and now want to share with other attorneys.  With this referral program, you can safely refer clients to a brokerage that will take great care of your clients and you can receive a referral fee of 20% of the commission earned, just by making the connection.  It is that easy.  You don't need to spend the capital, or undergo the liability, in starting your own brokerage.  Simply get your license and align with us.  We will do the rest!

 

1. Get Your Broker's License:

       a. Request a certified letter of Good Standing issued by the MA SJC 

 

       b. Obtain a Surety Bond of $5,000 in your name (approx costs $50) 

 

       c. Complete, sign and notarize a CORI form and scan it into your computer. 

 

       d. When you have the above documents, and a passport size picture of yourself, you will need to create a Business Login on MyMassGov

    • You can complete the application and register with the Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.  You will be asked to answer the questions, upload the documents and submit the filing fee of approx $142.   Complete the process at: https://www.mass.gov/welcome-to-mymassgov 

NOTE:  Processing your application will take several weeks.  You should receive a confirmation email, and you can check the online portal to see if you have been approved prior to receiving the approval notification. 

2. Send over the referrals 

We can proceed any way you wish.  We can plan a chat first via telephone, Zoom, or in person.  We will discuss how you want to make the referral and where you want your referral fee sent.  The referral fee will be calculated on the amount of commission that the brokerage receives, and will be paid upon the transaction closing and the commission being paid at closing.  It is super simple.
